Working within the Cândido Mariano Maternity, the Pink House Projectin Campo Grande, has already provided more than 2,800 consultations with women in 34 cities in Mato Grosso do Sul in eight months of operation.
Federal deputy Dagoberto Nogueira has designated a parliamentary amendment for Women’s Health with the aim of facilitating access, prevention and treatment of mana cancer.
“Walking around Mato Grosso do Sul, many women report the difficulty of having consultations and exams for the prevention of breast cancer and talking to councilor Dr. Victor Rocha, we decided to support this project that in such a short time, zeroed the waiting list for consultation with a mastologist at the SUS (Unified Health System). We will continue to support the Casa Rosa Project”, he said.
On site, patients can undergo a consultation with a mastologist, undergo mammography exams, breast ultrasound and biopsy, all in a single day, with the same agility and efficiency of the private health network, ensuring that breast cancer is diagnosed within seven days.
In eight months, more than 2,800 consultations, 1,000 ultrasound exams, 355 biopsies, 500 mammograms and 44 cases of breast cancer were referred for treatment.
“To make the space viable, we initially allocated an amendment of R$ 350 thousand and I committed myself, that as long as I am a deputy, every year I will allocate resources to improve and improve this service even more”, said Dagoberto.
