Mauá Plaza receives breast cancer detection campaign

Annually, Pantene, of hair care, directs its efforts to offer support and support to patients with breast cancer, in order to bring visibility to the cause lived in Pink October. This year, until November 10, the brand brings a motorcade to Shopping Mauá Plaza.

With the Pantene Cuida Além do Fio campaign, the brand, in partnership with the NGO Américas Amigas, sets up a free mobile service unit, which will cover regions of the capital and Greater São Paulo, in addition to municipalities in the interior of the state, with the objective of perform breast cancer detection and diagnosis exams.

It is estimated that, in 2022, more than 66,000 Brazilians will be diagnosed with the disease, which is the leading cause of female cancer deaths in Brazil. Hence the importance highlighted by Pantene in making women and society aware of early diagnosis, capable of increasing the chances of cure to 95%.

The campaign includes free care for women, men with clinical suspicion and transgender people in situations of social vulnerability. The mammogram report is released on the same day and, if any changes are identified, the person will be referred to the NGO’s partner laboratories, clinics and hospitals for complementary exams, also free of charge.
